About Sprout Academy
Sprout Academy is a privately owned and operated facility dedicated to providing a quality preschool education for children three to five years of age. We offer small class sizes and ideal student to teacher ratios. This enables the teachers to have a powerful impact on each child’s development by giving them the individual attention that is essential during their early years. We are experienced and knowledgeable about early childhood education and work collaboratively to provide an atmosphere that is safe and engaging for all children. We believe it is essential to develop a good relationship with each child and parent based on open communication and mutual respect, which we believe is the foundation of a successful school experience. By offering an engaging curriculum, it is our hope that each child will develop a positive outlook towards school and a lifelong love for learning during their time spent at Sprout Academy.

Owner/ Director/ Teacher
I have three beautiful little girls (12, 16, and 19) that have guided my life in completely different directions than I ever imagined! I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood emphasis from USI in 2005. I taught 1st grade at Petersburg Elementary for a short time until I had my first daughter, then I became a stay at home mom. When my oldest two began preschool, I couldn’t help but get involved in their schooling. I volunteered and subbed for their school and became a staff member shortly after. I have taught preschool for 14 years now and I have a true passion for this age group! Opening Sprout Academy Preschool is a dream come true!!
A Beka Curriculum & HWT
Sprout Academy Preschool uses the highly accredited A Beka Christian Homeschool Curriculum. The comprehensive curriculum has been specifically designed for 3-5 year olds. The Kindergarten readiness program teaches children to read through phonics instruction with one-and two-vowel words in small readers. Children learn number concepts 1 to 20 and counting from 1 to 100. The curriculum includes writing, art, music, poetry, and language development activities.
We also use (HWT)Hand Writing Without Tears. This curriculum helps students with writing formation and letter recognition. We added this to our Early Pre-K class during the second half of the year and we were impressed with the results!
